Why isn’t there a passionate, outspoken community around dubstep, moombahton, glitch hop, etc?
Oh yeah, we’re too busy enjoying our music rather than littering forums and Facebook critiquing, comparing, and overnostalgizing.
I’m constantly impressed by #trancefamily, but seriously you guys need to clean up the vocal minority who are overly elitist. Coming from someone who regularly frequents non-trance events, that minority and circle-jerk attitude unable to appreciate sounds outside of that have given you all sort of a negative stereotype as E-tards who just complain.
I’m impressed and humbled by the “trance family” passion, but the hypocrisy of the vocal minority who only have negative things to say and pine for “old (insert DJ)” with an elitist attitude is GLARING.
It’s not my problem, I don’t consider myself a part of that movement. However, be aware. Maybe it’s just me and a few others I’ve met at shows.
