You’re allowed to be offended. Is that a novel concept? You vote on the comedy by choosing to laugh or not at a joke. You have no right to yell at the comedian giving the SHOW….the joke could have been going somewhere funny, but he was interrupted by a heckler and had just seconds to come up with a response…he didn’t have time to go around surveying whether the joke was funny or not

The company I intern for is looking for some production interns to assist with audio/video production of Internet radio shows!  Even if you’re not from the LA Area, please please please reblog!

Pantswise is in immediate need of a production intern to aid in the day-to-day tasks related to running the network. We are looking for interns interested in:

Production Interns
- Running a mixing board during podcast recordings
- Managing cameras for live video during podcast recordings
- Finding and producing some content for shows
- Editing audio and/or video for highlight reels
- Scheduling and coordinating of guests for podcasts

Desired skills:
- Love comedy and have a good sense of humor
- Professional email and phone skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Creativity
- Self-motivated and organized
- Word/Excel or equivalent (Pages, Numbers, etc.)
- Organized - you will be responsible for ordering things and tracking them

This internship is currently unpaid, but may lead to a paid position. We’re looking for a motivated, creative person to be a part of our organization and really be a part of building something fun and special. You will ideally be a comedy fan, and have a great sense of humor and good personality as well, as you will likely often be required to be on air. Throughout your internship, you will have the opportunity to meet many well-known comedians. Some examples include Jim Norton, Bill Burr, Robert Kelly, Keith Robinson, Doug Benson, Steve-O, Todd Glass, and many more. You will learn how to run all aspects of a successful entertainment company while having fun in a very laid back environment.

Hours for this position will vary, but anticipate 15-20 hours per week. We reimburse expenses and also for travel if you find yourself driving a lot for internship-related errands. Most work will be required Monday-Friday during the afternoons, but we can be flexible with your schedule. Some night or weekend activities will require attendance. A lot of the responsibilities for this position can be managed from home or a mobile device.
