they say you need to accept people for who they’ve become, but if they’re not the same person you became friends with way back when—as in, i don’t even recognize you or this person you’re now playing—i see no reason in being compelled to stay in touch with someone you don’t know anymore just for the sake of calling them a friend.

Why is it the expectation for us to know the “secret language”?
This is so incredibly frustrating to me, and probably a lot of other guys. Look, we can be the most caring, most loving people. BUT, be more direct instead of relying on small cues that a lot of us are oblivious to.
It goes 2 ways, don’t expect us to know everything. It’s a little pretentious.
